Marbles
Marbles is the game of flicking small glass balls with a finger to hit other marbles or land in a hole; win and the other player's marbles are yours.
Era: 90s & 2000s
What it was like
A little hole scooped in the ground, a careful aim from a distance. Marbles with coloured swirls inside were the most prized.
Winnings piled up in a tin or a pocket, and a heavy pocket was a point of pride.
