Handmade Eid card
A handmade Eid card is a greeting card made from coloured paper, markers and glitter to give a friend, one of the joys before Eid.
Era: 90s & 2000s
What it was like
A moon and star drawn on the front, a rhyme or 'Eid Mubarak' inside, glitter glued on top. Shop cards existed, but making your own was the real thing.
Cards were swapped at school near the end of Ramadan, and the ones you got were kept for years.
